How it works?


 After your 10th stay you get will the average value of your 11th night stay for free (up to the average value of your spend on a pre-tax basis).

 I now can book a hotel for the value of A$83.12 for one night only but just pay the taxes.
  • If the value of the hotel booking you want is over that average value you pay the difference to get that hotel (plus taxes).
  • If the value of the hotel booking you want is less than that average value, that difference CANNOT cover the taxes you meant to pay that residual value is forfeited and cannot be used for another night. 
Example: of average nights calculated on pre-tax basis

 You will be upgraded to silver member status after 10 nights booked within a year.

How to claim the free night?
Click on "Redeem nights" button
Select the "Free night value of" as shown and Redeem

Booking complete and discount applied and  you pay the difference

Opening a Portugal bank account remotely (easy step by step)

Other than using the services of bordr.io (cost 350 Euros to open at the time of writing), the Portuguese bank account I found on the internet that you can open outside of Portugal is Banco Atlantico Europa . When you navigate to "Open Account" the following screens asks you to download its app on Android or Apple app stores. This is what the app looks like in the Android app store. Once you open the app, the following screens will appear and it states the relevant documents you need to upload via the app either from photos or pdfs. I've always believed in doing things by myself as much as possible and trying to lower the costs of doing each activity by understanding the entire process.
